Weekly Topic: Preparing for Community-University Partnerships this Fall

The University of Notre Dame’s made a recent announcement about officially opening campus back up on August 10th. This week’s Engaged Learning Forum (ELF) was designed to give space to communicate university updates with the community, answer questions, and to begin to outline goals for partnerships since the remainder of the academic year will be an irregular format. During this session community partners were able to weigh-in on what their organizations’ plans are for the next 6 months. They were able to discuss whether or not they are accepting on-site volunteers/interns, as well as if they need to change services to either restrict or restore resources. Community partners were also able to share if they believe there is a role that local university and college faculty, staff, and students can play in their organization in the next 6-12 months.
