South Bend Community School Corporation (SBCSC) – Adult Education Department

FOCUS: To strengthen the community by inspiring life-long learning and career advancement.

ACTIVITIES: OUR MOST URGENT NEED: volunteers to work with our literacy program, helping adults of St. Joseph County learn to read. Additionally, we are interested in having volunteers tutor adult learners in a variety of academic, work, and life skill areas to help program participants prepare for the High School Equivalency Exam, learn English as a second language, and/or gain job skills.

HOURS: MON–FRI times vary; potential for evening work as well

REQUIREMENTS: 18 + ; Background Check; Commit to One Semester
