St. Joseph County Parks

FOCUS: To conserve and care for significant natural areas, and promote understanding and stewardship of our natural and cultural heritage through park programs and services for families and individuals.

ACTIVITIES: Assist with office work, grounds keeping, projects such as wood splitting and playground mulching, removing invasive species, trail work, assisting with special events, assisting park staff with school programs and leisure services events.

HOURS: 7 days a week – varies depending on student area of interest. Assisting with special events is mostly on weekends or an occasional weeknight. Assisting with work projects or school environmental programs is usually during the week.

REQUIREMENTS: For some projects, must be able to get to various park locations
